Love is a connection to purity and purification.
A connection to the divine and cosmic energy.
It is a deep and powerful emotion which affects our physical being.
Love is a place of strength, tenderness and generosity.
It is a state of wholeness and serenity.
It is a place of great light.
Love differs in its measure and amount, not in its kind. It can be great or small but there is only one kind – completely pure. In life and in human relationships there is a mixture of feelings and emotions. Love sometimes plays a big part in that mixture, sometimes a small one. Often it plays no true part at all.
In our world, it is degraded and abused in the names of our hidden needs and fears. It is confused with jealousy, envy, lust, possessiveness, fear of abandonment, the need to belong, the need to control. It is used as an excuse for many wrongs. In its true name and essence there is not a hint of evil. A term such as ‘unhealthy love’ is an impossible one. They are two opposite things.
Love does not hurt nor cause pain. Love heals. It is the only energy which is so pure it can be contained in unlimited amounts. It is impossible to have “too much love”.
Love brings growth, it does not cause death.
After internalizing these words, and understanding that love is an energy that exists within us and we can intensify it with the power of our mind, on the way to growth and a better life, we should practice it daily by thinking about Love, speaking its name, summoning it, asking for it, making room for it, directing ourselves towards it, filling ourselves with it, making it greater, using it and spreading it further.
